Blue Lake Triathlon

Here are some pictures from the Blue Lake Triathlon, which was my first open water swim.  It's definitely harder than a pool!

Also, much needed:  Real Wetsuit.  My Quiksilver surfing wetsuit won't cut it for triathlons.

Results:  66th of 483.  7th for age.  Swim 16:24, Bike 35:40, Run 20:43.  Total 1:17:43.

I wasn't super happy with my results, but it was my first open swim and I did not think it would be that different than the pool training I'd been doing.

Stayton Triathlon

Here are some pictures of the Stayton Triathlon I competed in on May 21st.

Results:  10th of 200.  2nd for my age.  Total time:  1:13:53.

My first triathlon was the Beaver Freezer in Corvallis, Oregon.  I was very happy with my results.

Results were 51^st out of 382.  6^th out of my age division.  End time was 1:13:06.

Care Instructions and Tips

For our C6 treated clothing, you don't have to do all the extra steps. It's actually quite energy and money saving to have all of your clothes treated with C6 Technology.


For best results, machine wash cold, inside out, with like colors. That includes your whites. Washing in cold water saves you money. Tumble dry on medium and do not use fabric softeners. All you need is a light tumble since C6 technology dries faster and in already wrinkle free. It's best not to use fabric softeners since some contain different technology that can adversely effect your C6 tech. As soon as the dryer is done, you can grab your shirt and go. You're welcome to iron your clothing, but it's not necessary and I would advise against ironing with water or starch since it cannot be absorbed into the clothing. This is the same reason why you don't need to dry clean.

I know what you saying, "Why do I need to wash my clothes if they are treated with something that protects against water, stains, and odor?" Our technology makes clothing water, stain, odor resistant. Washing the garment will remove oils making the C6 Technology work as good as new.
